Masjid Al-Islam, trace our origins to 1970, when we were established as Mosque Number 60 under the Nation of Islam. Following the passing of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1975, our community embraced a new chapter under the leadership of Imam W.D. Muhammad. During this transition, we aligned with mainstream Al-Islam and adopted the name Masjid Al-Islam, reflecting both our spiritual growth and evolving identity.
Located at 3620 Buena Vista Pike in Nashville, Tennessee, we have long served as a cornerstone for African American Muslims in the area. We are also closely connected to Clara Mohammed School, established in 1971 to provide Islamic education and strengthen our legacy of faith and learning.
